Where Can I Serve?
EUMC we emphasize Act Your Faith as a means of showing others the same love that God has shown us. This service can take many forms, including the manner we interact with others on a daily basis, the time we give to neighbors in need, and the financial support to help bring relief.
EUMC offers many different missions for Helping Others, including: sandwiches for the homeless, Free Store on Saturdays, Prison Ministries, Billings Senior Food Pantry, and Broadwater Elementary Clothing & Supplies.
John Wesley, founder of the Methodist Religion, took Jesus’ words and created an all encompassing message: ‘Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as ever you can.’ Methodist Guidelines
Free Store
The Free Store is open for shoppers the 1stand 3rdSaturday of every month from 9 am to noon.
It is located at 345 Broadwater Avenue, on the second floor of the Evangelical United Methodist Church.
Before the store opens, at 9:30 am an optional church service is available. There is also a free hot meal served in the basement.
You can become involved by volunteering your time while theFree Store is open, by donating items (linens, kitchen items, in-season, clean clothing), or by donating money to help meet the $200.00/month rent and utility costs. Another need is assistance with child care while the Free Store is open (contact Pastor Sara Neff 406-259-1897 if interested).
This ministry has been in existence for seven years. An average of 52 families shop each Saturday the Free Store is open. Clearly there is a need for this ministry.
Recently, a pregnant woman only days away from her due date arrived in Billings with nothing for the baby. The Free Store was able to provide diapers, clothing, bedding, and other needs. The mother-to-be was in tears as she left.
A couple, currently living in a small camper parked in a parking lot, at a time of very cold temperatures came looking for warm clothing and bedding. One item they received was a set of sheets. The woman was ecstatic. With teary eyes she related they had not had sheets for several years and instead had been using an old blanket.
We encourage visitors as well as shoppers. Do consider becoming a part of the Free Store family of volunteers.

The team is dedicated to encouraging these women on their journeys of faith, sharing the love of Christ with them, providing study Bibles to women who want to learn more about the Word of God, and learning from each woman’s own inspiring story of faith and transformation in difficult circumstances.
All team members attend a free mandatory annual training program at the prison.
